Oh yeah oh yeah... Disney Day 2

As we embark onto day 2, I am sorting through all of my lovely pictures. I am having trouble figuring out what we did here in the beginning of the week. Disney fog. haha
I think I got it! haha Today was MAGIC KINGDOM DAY!
I love this part for the obvious... memories. I have beautiful memories coming here with my family, the first time at the Contemporary with my cousins David, Kevin and Suzanne (Mom and Dad of course), going with our neighbors the Radgowski's, my Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop, Jordan's first trip (where he put one whole pancake in his mouth, impressively... I wish I could find that video!) Our honeymoon, going again a few months after my honeymoon with my family for Alexis' first trip where she hugged all the characters, Going again with Tim a year later celebrating ... Big family trip with my family the year before Ty was born-Meg's (sis in law) first time,... Then getting to show Tyler the "world" - incredible... and blessed that he has been there 3 times already. Basically what I am getting at... my parents started this Disney love affair, by creating the most magical memories, and through the years, the love for Disney has just grown... and now I am creating my own memories. The Magic Kingdom, to me is the "heart". Its the innocence, the wonder...I can climb back in and be that 5 year old that thought the castle was built just for her. It is incredible to watch Tyler now, and see his love blossom for all that is Disney. A timeless tradition of magic and happiness. Where all is possible, just by believing... Sigh...ok, I will stop now and get on with the story.

"Why I outta... "...haha

We headed out to Magic Kingdom. Last year, it was in the 80s ALL week... One evening of chilliness, but warm... this week, we had a few warm days, but it was a cool high 60-70s here and there. Not thinking, we put Ty in shorts... DUH. He had a sweatshirt, but we made it to the MK and realized we needed to buy him sweatpants. I was on a mission. I found some, but they were way too big, so we ran to Mickey's Toontown, where we found a pair. Whew... Off to enjoy the magic.

We decided to get a little snack for the little man... the lil native was restless. haha Got a soft pretzel, something to drink and we sat down to soak it all in. We had ressies for the next day at Hollywood and Vine, but it was not a character meal, and I said to Tim, why don't we try something else? He agreed and got on the phone with Disney Dining. We decided to try the new restaurant Yak and Yeti at the Animal Kingdom Park. We were all set with that and decided to ride some rides. Tyler LOVES the Haunted Mansion. He went on it last year with Tim and I, and this year I was flying solo with little Cooley Ty... He was a little scared, but still loved it. Guess he will love the horror movies like his daddy... not I. The Haunted Mansion ROCKS though.
Tim was not feeling great, so Ty and I continued on and ventured onto Pirates of the Caribbean. No wait at all, in the meantime, Tim went over to get us fastpasses for The Jungle Cruise.
The Pirates ride is always so neat, but even cuter was Ty singing Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirates Life for Me... Music to my pirate lovin ears :)

When we got off, Tim met up with us, and we went to the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room... haha you know you are singing it. We have not ventured in for a few years (ahem, since I was prob, ahem 5) but it was all re-done. I thought it was cute, Tim thought it was a few minutes of his life that he would not get back again, haha and Ty wanted to go see it again. It had lots of music, so no wonder. haha
We talked him into the Jungle Cruise instead. We didn't have to wait long. Our boat driver guy was funny, as they all usually are...

and Ty really loved it.
After that ride, it was almost time for the parade...
We got us a perfect little spot and didn't have to wait long at all. We had front row seats and it was adorable as always!

It was awesome that Tim got picked to be in the parade... haha just kidding honey...

After the parade, we were EXHAUSTED! haha We grabbed a bite to eat at the Casey's hotdog place and decided it was time to head back. We wanted to get settled, relax a bit, check out the resort... and well, Tim and Ty wanted to play in the arcade of course!
From Disney Day2

Tim and Ty had a blast at the arcade. They won lots of tickets that we saved the whole week.
They are cute little gamers... I like the skee ball, or basketball... these two were in their glory. I of course hit the shop! You know it!
We ate pizza I think, and the movie was held inside. I believe it was Enchanted and we had front row seats :) We of course let Ty have another ice cream sundae... haha Chocolate ALL OVER and of course the sugar kept him up longer. Who cares, we were in Disney, enjoying every little bit that we could. We got on our jammies... laptops, I worked a little more, and got the pictures off the camera. After a bit, we all were tired and fell sound asleep.

Next up...
Animal Kingdom and Tim is SOAKED!

On our way to Magic Land :)

So, we are ready and on our way to the most magical place on Earth. Where Dreams come True, Where a dream is a wish your heart makes, where it all started with a mouse... ok, enough, I know. I am a geek for all that is Disney. We did get stuck behind this funny little drawbridge...

haha, but not for tooooo long! It took us about 2 hours and we were there.

It was such an incredible feeling.
We stayed at All Star Music. Our little rockstar was in his glory. This place was super cute, with all the music notes, and instruments. Tim checked us in and we were all set for an early check in. We didn't have to wait till 3, we got to go to our room as soon as we got there!

Here is one of the little towel animals left to greet us :)

Getting ready to go out...

We had reservations at the Garden Grille at The Land in Epcot. We decided to go to Epcot early and head over to Living Seas with Nemo. We did the Nemo ride of course, and then looked at all beautiful fish, sharks, manatee, dolphins... beautiful creatures. We then decided to go to Turtle Talk with Crush. We met a family from England who were spending 3 weeks in Disney! Whew! Turtle Talk with Crush is amazing. I recommend it to everyone in the world. haha Very cute.
We ventured over to The Land for dinner, it was right next door, we were early for our ressies, so Ty and I hit the little Kidcot station where we decorated a little necklace thing. Our little "your table is ready buzzer" went off and it was time for our Character meal at the Garden Grille. We have never eaten here, it was really cute. The restaurant actually rotates, but you don't feel it move at all. When we were sat, we were right next to the noisy kitchen, however, by the end of the meal, we had moved pretty far from the kitchen, and hardly realized it. haha We had lots of "fresh food" I especially loved the salad. It was a nice way to start off our trip! For dessert we had bread pudding (again, Atkins friendly...haha) and Ty got to "decorate" his own cupcake.

Tim was so funny, he kept getting Chip and Dale confused, and for some reason, I worried they would be offended. haha Yes, I am a dork.

One of my faves Pluto
After dinner, we anxiously decided it was time for all the beautiful Epcot lights "Around the World"
Here are the beautiful arches that you walk though. The lights sparkle and dance to the Christmas music. It is amazing. Gave me chills of course.

Here  are my boys checking out the train garden at the America pavillion.

Ty found the drums and had a blast. The drums were a BIG favorite for Ty this trip... I know, I know... big surprise. haha

We were exhausted, and decided to head back to the resort and relax.
When we got there, they had a huge screen set up... it was "movie time" and we just thought this was the coolest thing.

We were tired, but still got some ice cream for Ty..haha and Tim and Ty hit the arcade. Next...
It was off to bed...Tomorrow was another magical exciting day! haha

Our New Florida, Disney Trip Begins!

We are so excited! We get to go back to Florida, visit with family (Aunt Judy and Uncle Jerry (Tim's bro and sis in law) and do Disney once again. I feel very lucky and blessed and do not take a moment of this special time for granted.
Our dream is to have a Disney Vacation Club so that we can go every year. We are both addicted. Ty has caught the bug as well :)
~~~~ So let's start this, shall we?!
Off we go!
Our countdown is complete, and it is time to begin our journey to the sunshine state. Beautiful Florida.
From Disney08
We got off to a rough start... I forgot the cooler (I made special for Ty...fruits and healthy stuff), and we stopped to get him a new travel tray too... by the time we were on our way, it was almost noon. Oh well. We drove and drove, and Ty wanted Alvin and the Chipmunks...and the taped version we had didn't work too well. We ended up stopping again and Tim bought Alvin and the Chipmunks and Kung Fu Panda. We have watched Alvin and the Chipmunks close to 527 times. Really, a chipmunk accent is not the kind I want to catch... Australian, English, what have you...but squeaky... not uh. We made it to Georgia at our Holiday Inn place and quickly feel asleep. I had to work a little bit, but I guess that is a good thing :) We woke up around 8 or 9 and got ready and headed out to St. Augustine, Florida. While we were getting ready, the room service people kept knocking. It was so annoying. It was like 9am! We drove to Florida at the rest stop... got us our little OJ samples
We met this nice fella, please keep him in your best thoughts and prayers.
We didn't forget for a second how lucky and blessed we are.
So now, its off to St. Augustine.
Uncle Jerry and Aunt Judy were waiting for us and greeted us in the driveway. It was so wonderful to see them again. We always have such a fantastic time. We settled in a bit... Uncle Jerry and Aunt Judy gave Ty a sweet little car track set and matchbox cars that he LOVED and played with the whole time. We settled in, had some of Jerry's fabulous burgers, and headed off to the holiday festivities at the St. Augustine Lighthouse. We got some hot cider, listened to christmas music, enjoyed the chill in the air and Ty met Santa!!!
From Disney08
He was a great Santa..he took his time with each child. Very sweet. We found out that Ty wants a BIG BIG BIG Race Track. haha Tim and Jerry climbed the 219 steps up the lighthouse. Tim didn't see any ghosts. We were all tired and decided to head back home. I put Ty to bed and he was fast asleep. We bought the Ghosthunters DVD and watched the episode when they were at The Lighthouse. Talk about chillls!
Off to bed... when we woke up, Jerry and Judy were making us breakfast and coffee. Spoiled we were! We relaxed, ate breakfast and we talked about what to do, and decided to do the Trolly tour around St. Augustine. When we got to the Trolly place, we saw a pirate store with a real pirate (in total character) but like stoner surfer pirate... and he was such a super nice pirate. We bought some things there... He gave Ty a little pirate set with a plastic knife, eye patch and telescope.
Avast! Here he is protecting his Aunt Judy!
We got on the trolly and we were off.
Here are some of the sights that were saw... haha (Note: Pictures taken on a moving trolly)
We stopped along the way at A1A brew pub restaurant. It was very yum. We went here last time and loved it. After dinner, we got back on the trolly and headed back to Jerry and Judy's... we got to video chat with Jennifer (Tim's cousin :) ) and her little ones Teddy and Grace. They were precious. Ty finally got to meet his cousins. Ahhh the technology. Jennifer looked fantastic and we cannot wait to see them again (in person this time. )
Tim and Jerry went out to shoot some pool and have some brother bonding time together. They rode in Jerry and Judy's electric car. It is SUPER CUTE!
Ty played sweetly with his cars and Judy and I had a lovely time talking, and relaxing... Tim and Jerry returned with pizza and Tim was not feeling, ahem, so, ahem, well... In his defense, I think he had a stomach bug... because it lasted for a few days... He didn't drink THAT much to warrant a 3 day hangover. haha He did however tell everyone that he beat his big brother at pool... something he has never done, so he was feeling good about that. Jerry wanted to go back out with Tim, but Timmy was sacked out. Till next time. :) I am happy they had such a great time.
Then next morning, Tim didn't feel 100% but a lot better. We went to Marineland... I love it there. I always wanted to be a dolphin trainer. I live it vicariously through watching the dolphin trainers at work. I would love to swim with them one day. They are beautiful creatures. I bought myself a christmas ornament that was painted by a dolphin. How could I resist! haha
We took some pictures, then headed back to Jerry and Judy's home.
We hung out for a bit, then got ready for dinner. Jerry wanted to take us to this place called Pizzalley's or something like that. It was super yum. Yumbo, cause we all ate so very much. haha Atkins, what Atkins... We had little bits of everything. It was so good, especially the crème brule! Tim has me hooked on that YUMster-ness. Dangerous, dangerous dessert. After dinner, Jerry and Judy took Ty and I on the Holly Jolly Trolley. We wore 3-D glasses and watched all of the lights around St. Augustine dance... and there was christmas music and even better... christmas music that we sang along to at the TOP of our lungs! No Bah-Humbug here!
We had so much fun. I am sad Tim had to miss it. We got back to the house and put Ty to bed. We packed up and got ready because the next day we were headed to Disneyworld.
We woke up the next morning, got everything together and packed up. Said our goodbyes. We just have the best time with Jerry and Judy and appreciate their hospitality. I wish we all didn't live so far away. We were blessed to be able to visit again.
